Recidivism Analysis Results

WCCC is very pleased to release a multi-year recidivism analysis of more than 80 clients over 15 years of Circles in Washington County.  Please see the complete analysis here, with the following highlights:

  1. Two years after acceptance into Circle, only 11% of clients have a new conviction (targeted misdemeanor or higher).
  2. Two-thirds of the clients with new convictions within two years are those who did not successfully complete Circle and were referred back to the court.
  3. These results seem to last over time, with only 26% of clients with at least 10 years of at-risk time after acceptance acquiring a new conviction.
