Recidivism Analysis Results
WCCC is very pleased to release a multi-year recidivism analysis of more than 80 clients over 15 years of Circles in Washington County. Please see the complete analysis here, with the following highlights:
- Two years after acceptance into Circle, only 11% of clients have a new conviction (targeted misdemeanor or higher).
- Two-thirds of the clients with new convictions within two years are those who did not successfully complete Circle and were referred back to the court.
- These results seem to last over time, with only 26% of clients with at least 10 years of at-risk time after acceptance acquiring a new conviction.
